To do that, you have to go to the ‘Friends’ page on the Snapchat app. Now, right under the name of your friend, you will see a timestamp. For instance, you might see that ‘Opened 56 seconds ago’. That means the person might be online as they opened the snap a minute ago.
Unfortunately, Snapchat scores do not increase if you watch a story. Additional points to your Snapchat score may take a while to register and may all come at once. If you have not been active on Snapchat for a while, then the first Snap you send on the app will add six points to your score.
Snapchat uses icons to show you the status of anything you send. If the notification says ‘delivered’ but not ‘opened,’ the recipient is either offline or hasn’t opened the Snap. If it says ‘opened,’ then you know the person is either online or was recently active.
Why is someone who I have never chatted to before in my recent list on Snapchat?
If you click on their username, it will still show that they’re in your recents. Your recents can be made up of anyone. You don’t have to talk to the person or snap them for them to be in your recents. Something as simple as looking up their username can put them in your recents.
