Toner is a product that neutralizes tones in bleached hair. After you’ve bleached your hair, the toner neutralizes any remaining traces of pink. While your goal is to remove pink, the green toner and shampoo will cancel out what pink tones are left after the clarifying shampoo and bleach.
Will toner get rid of pink hair?
Blonde hair dye alone will not turn pink hair to blonde. It can only strip off few molecules of pink color. The hair might instead turn peach color or light pink color.
Purple shampoo neutralizes unwanted tones in blonde hair or bleached hair. It doesn’t change your hair color, nor does it make it healthier or brighter or anything like that. That’s why I don’t recommend using purple shampoo on your pink hair.
Will purple shampoo remove pink?
Plain white vinegar, when used as a mixture of equal parts vinegar and warm water, will help to remove hair dye. Pour this mixture over all of the dyed hair, saturating it completely. Pop a shower cap over it and leave for 15 to 20 minutes, then shampoo it and rinse out. Repeat if needed, it won’t hurt your hair.
To cancel out pink undertones or pigments, you just need to dye it in a different color. According to the color wheel, pink can be canceled out using light shades of green. The darker is the shade of pink, darker should be the shade of green.
