In Part II, which takes place a couple of years after the events in the original movie, Princess Ariel, the former mermaid now human, marries Prince Eric and gave birth to a beautiful daughter named Melody. As the years went by, Melody is curious about the seas, but Ariel is keeping Melody’s mermaid heritage a secret.
Might as well have thrown the money right in the trash. Meet Melody, The Littlest Mermaid! The Little Mermaid II: Return to the Sea is a 2000 sequel to the 1989 Disney animated box office hit.
E! News found a The Little Mermaid VHS on eBay (here) for $9,999. OMG. Apparently, this version is worth a bit more because, as they pointed out, this cover features a tiny hidden penis (in the castle). Oy.
The customer contacted Disney about the issue, and the cover art was changed. VHS tapes with the original cover art are still in the homes of Disney fans and may be donated to thrift stores as people clean out or downsize. eBay sellers may find them at thrift stores, garage sales, library sales, even church sales.
Is The Little Mermaid on Netflix? Sadly, no. There are many other Disney titles still on Netflix though.
