Is it OK to put Jagermeister in the freezer?
The main reason you should never mix Red Bull and vodka is that when you drink Red Bull (energy drink) and vodka (alcohol) together, it increases your capacity to feel intoxicated. Moreover, Red Bull is a stimulant, and alcohol (vodka in this regard) acts as a depressant.
Jagermeister is none of those liquors. It’s a digestif, and has a lot of herbs and spices in it. It’s basically ethanol, as all liquors are, but uses a lot of different ingredients that whiskey or rum wouldn’t. Gin would be the most closely related, since it also uses botanicals to give flavour.
Jägermeister produces almost no hangover effect whatsoever.
What to Mix With Jägermeister
It won’t really go off. You might find the taste might get stale after a few years if the bottle has been opened and the colour could be affected if stored in a place where it comes into contact with bright sunlight. There aren’t best before dates on spirits because alcohol doesn’t, really, go off.
Can Jagermeister go bad?
Jagermeister suggests storing its namesake liqueur in the freezer and serving it ice cold. Chilling thickens the liqueur to a syrupy consistency, so it lingers on the palate long enough for its 56 herbs, spices and aromatic compounds to introduce themselves.
