How many splines does a mercury prop have?
Providing the props are for the same size & direction gearbox eg right hand 4&1/4″ gearbox & have the same number of splines eg 15 then Honda, Mercury, Mariner, Yamaha & Tohatsu props will be interchangeable (bigger Tohatsu”s are Honda”s anyway), some possibly requiring a spacer washer.
Moving up or down two inches in pitch will usually change WOT engine speed by approximately 400 RPM.

The standard Yamaha thrust washer has a lip that does not fit OMC props, at least not the Rakers I used to see.
A 3 blade propeller usually offers top speed performance while a 4 blade propeller provides maximum thrust and smooth cruising operation. Four blades have some features of their own, though. They often provide more lift at the stern which will help accelerate the hull, especially if it is stern heavy.
