To craft fertilizer you need to combine Mixed Herbs and Earth. You will be able to get Mixed Herbs by combining Grass and Wheat Grass. Once you have the required ingredients at the Crafting Hut the process will take about 4 hours to complete.

The real way to get food is to upgrade your Farming technology to level 2, but to do that you need 6,000 tech points. Here’s a quick way to rack up the tech points you need. Set about as many villagers to the research table as you can.
To do this you need to craft Mixed Herbs and Earth. Mixed Herbs is created by crafting Grass and Wheat Grass. The process takes 4 hours (240 minutes) and once complete send an adult to the Crafting Hut to get the Fertilizer which will be one per seed.
