Current research shows that only hydrogen peroxide (the whitening agent used in Opalescence Boost in-office whitening and Opalescence Go tray whitening) or carbamide peroxide (the whitening agent used in Opalescence PF custom-tray whitening) are effective in whitening teeth.
Teeth whitening products containing whitening gel can be refrigerated in order to prolong the shelf life of the product. After you have closed your teeth whitening gel product you can put it in the fridge to prolong its shelf life for up to 2 years.
How do you store Opalescence?
The manufacturer does recommend refrigerating the product, but it is not required. Most people will find that just leaving the Opalescence Go out at room temperature will be perfectly adequate. However, if you’re in a particularly warm climate, it’s worth considering.
