Scolari and Hanks reportedly remained friends after “Bosom Buddies,” and they’ve worked together a few times since. He had roles in the Hanks-headlined films “That Thing You Do” (1996) and “The Polar Express” (2004), and did some voice work on Hanks’s IMAX doc “Magnificent Desolation: Walking on the Moon 3D.”

Home media. CBS DVD (distributed by Paramount) released both seasons of Bosom Buddies on Region 1 DVD. The original theme song “My Life” by Billy Joel was replaced with “Shake Me Loose”, a song penned by show creator Chris Thompson, which was used during the show’s syndication run.
