Can you shower after you tan in a tanning bed?
Waiting to shower 8 hours after your spray tan is ideal, however. This timeline ensures that the DHA has thoroughly absorbed into your skin, because it continues to penetrate after your spray-tanning session ends.
Protect your tan by avoiding showering or bathing for six to eight hours after tanning. Giving your body that time will allow your tan to deepen to it’s maximum point. Being in the water will lighten your tan up to that point, the longer you’re in the water, the lighter the tan will become. Avoid steam baths, pools or saunas for the same reason.
If you’re using a tanning lotion or a self-tanner among a bronzer, it’s most useful to wait 2-3 hours after application or your tanning session before taking a shower. This will provide the self-tanner and bronzer time to work and completely set on the skin.
However, there may be a couple of exceptions to the rule that permits an immediate shower after tanning. If you used a bronzer when you had your tanning bed session, you’ll have to wait for at least two to three hours before getting a shower.
Pat your skin dry. Do not rub or scrub your skin. Moisturize everyday after applying your self tan. After day 5, exfoliate with a soft body polish on a daily basis, to help your skin absorb even more moisturizer and keep it looking and feeling gorgeous.

Cold Showers: Just as it can do a lot for your circulation, cold showers will also dehydrate your skin less than a hot one would. So, in order to preserve your beautiful tan, stick with room temperature water. When your skin gets dry and flakes, this will cause the outer layer (which has the color) to shed faster.
Shower. About half an hour to an hour before you intend to tan, have a shower. This will remove any deodorant and moisturiser from your body which may cause the fake tan to react badly. You’ll want to make sure you are completely dry before you start tanning.
Gives Your Body Some Time to Tan It feels like a quick process, and it is, but your body keeps working after you hop out of the tanning booth. Give it at least a couple of hours before you decide to take a shower. You’ll get more effective and longer lasting results that way.
You can immediately shower after sunbed tanning if you didn’t use any bronzer or spray tanning treatment. Have you used a bronzer? Wait for two hours before showering.
