When you give a companion armor he/she will wear whatever has the highest armor rating regardless of what sort of enchantments it may possess. You also can not remove your companion’s basic apparel.
Aela can only be killed by you. Like all companions, other NPCs will only knock her out. If you deal the killing blow, however, she will die.
Aela is the one you can change to Forsworn Armor, if that’s what you’re asking.

I know one mod that lets you marry Hroki. You need to be at the Silver-Blood Inn during NIGHTTIME, so Hroki is there. Drop a piece of Jewelry from your inventory (She says armor so maybe any armor will do, I did this with a Silver Necklace), she will then pick it up and ask you if you’d let her keep it.
